The online Smokefreelife uses a secure iTelehealth platform to deliver full face-to-face stop smoking support via video chat, audio or text messaging. Clients can select their stop smoking advisor of choice, and can access the service immediately or at a time and place that suits them. Service users are provided with NRT medication, have their carbon monoxide readings recorded and receive behavioural support from their advisor. Solutions 4 Health consulted the National Centre for Smoking Cessation Training (NCSCT) to ensure that the online support follows the Standard Treatment Programme. This first national online face to face smoking cessation service is additionally available in a number of languages, including sign language for deaf or hard of hearing.
Everybody living in the areas below, covering a population of over 7.5 million people, can access both the online and face-to-face stop smoking clinics.
